Historic Performance Events, brings professional theater to unconventional spaces, where audiences interact characters from history or literary renown. I create original scripts, inspired by in-depth research, bringing historic and literary character to life, enhanced with period costumes and language, music, mixed media and live performance. HPE has brought performances to museums, conventions, festivals and private events for over 20 years. Our audiences are invigorated as they meet fascinating characters, and are immersed into their culture and witness the famous or the infamous. As a classically trained actress, and a playwright, finding unique ways to share a life story is my passion. I've created theater that I want to see, to reveal how the great or lowly achieved the amazing! Our performances can be organic short pop-ups to more complex full productions. We enjoy discovering who our clients want to bring to life, and watching how the magic of theater makes unforgettable memories!

Forty years of working in the video medium has been like a carousel ride: hosting a children's TV show, producing instructional television dramas, and partnering with "The NewsHour" on journalism reports. But the best is happening now- a collaboration with Historic Performance Events to weave together my twin passions- communication through video, and my fascination with history- a true melding of the new and the old. My company Now & Then Video is dedicated to shaping memories for the future, a goal very much in harmony with Christy's accomplishments.
